Welcome handsome Ember to GRRALL! Ember was rescued today from a local shelter, likely dumped as he is heartworm positive, such a shame as this is an easily preventable disease. This gorgeous 68-pound boy is safe now at our vet and will receive a full medical check-up and start his heartworm treatment as soon as we can find a perfect foster home for him. The heartworm treatment takes several months and the foster family can adopt Ember if they choose, or provide a safe and loving home for him while he undergoes treatment until he is ready for a permanent home. Better pics and more information will follow as we get to know Ember better.
